There's also a medical condition that people can have which causes them to fall asleep really quickly (I can't remember the name) but my manager used to have it. And when we'd sit in the office for lunch, I'd often hear snores next to me and he'd be fast on in about 20 seconds.

I feel sorry for the repairman, some may laugh or think something weird but in the end, you don't know what's happening in his life, you don't know whether he does 2 or 3 jobs in a day leaving him with only 4 hours of sleep at best.

@The Messenger that was me. I went to college, straight a student and couldn’t stay awake suddenly. My classmates and teachers would poke me or slap the table or whisper in my ear to help me stay awake. Finally got diagnosed with just very minor sleep apnea but it had a huge effect on me.

I once had a guy fall asleep on me when he was stood up giving me directions. I think he had some kind of medical condition like narcolepsy. I felt kinda bad for him.

Some people are just comfortable in certain places as well. For me it was when i was in my late teens, i found that if i lay on carboard on concrete under my truck to work on it...i fall asleep without even trying. It's just comfortable for some reason.

I was a retail devices field tech for awhile (cash registers, store servers, employee computer stations etc.), when on call I would occasionally get calls all night and still have to cover my regular shifts. My personal record was 36 hours straight. I can totally relate to this repair man.

Everytime I hear something like, "These are professionals, do not attempt." My mind always immediately races to, "How do any of these people get declared professionals??? Like, how do you prepare and/or practice for a situation like that?"

I would guess it starts with basic parachute/wing suit lessons, maybe in tandem with a teacher, maybe over water. Or in a wind channel (if that's the correct word for it. Huge fans that blow against gravity)

Can’t really blame the repair guy. I blame the sound of rain that the machine was making. I think just like me the repair guy likes to fall asleep with the sound of rain. I love it, it is so soothing to me.

I fell asleep at work once. Was in the middle of my job and everyone kept trying to wake me up. I told them I just needed a few more minutes of rest. They kept trying to tell me we were already two hours into the surgery. Being a doctor sucks.

That bearded dragon clip was adorable, mine used to do the exact same thing when I took pretend naps next to her. I called the little wiggles she did to get comfy her "snuggle shuffle" Edit: I know she was just trying to get warmth, but it also takes some level of trust (in the sense of "I know this creature won't kill me if I approach it") for an animal to do something like that. It told me that I was doing something right.

I would have been worried that the repair guy was sick or unconscious. I would have asked him if he was OK! I once went into an office where the receptionist seemed completely stoned, giggling and falling over. Luckily, her boss came in and realized she was having a diabetic incident and helped her.

As long as the repair guy didn't charge me for labor while on the floor sleeping, I would let him sleep. You gotta be pretty tired to fall asleep on the floor like that.
