Hi, I really love the work and the beautiful documentarion you have done. It is astonishing how lush and diverse it gets in a few months. Incledible! About what you said about mowing the wildflowers, I once heard an expert talking about this and he said that wild flower maddows attract insects from the surroundings and that many of them breed inside the dry plants (mostly in the seed containers) and many other important insects lay their eggs or burry themselves in the ground. So he recomended to mow only once every 4 years, in late spring, when all the insects have developed from the eggs and can't get killed from mowing the plants to cobtrol tree and shrub growth. And he said we should not plow, for not killing the insects that hibernate in the ground (some come out only once every 4 years to breen and then go back into the earth for the next 4 years.

_Hi Stefano. YT actually recommended this video to me. And I was really glad for it. This the first video of yours that I've watched. ✓_ *I watched the entire video & was quite impressed at not only your work with creating your 1st (and bigger 2nd) pond ecosystem, but also your well-produced video. Sure, I've seen a lot of nature videos on YT... but yours looks as if it could've been on Nat Geo or something similar (the quality is THAT good).* *Also, I'm very happy that you didn't 'ruin it' with excessively loud or obnoxious background music! SO many KZhomers can really ruin an otherwise great video... with horrible (or just loud) background audio! Thanks for that. LOL* _Anyway, I doubt you'll even read this comment (because there are 100's of thousands more, and most of those comments are from the 'early birds' from 4-5 months ago), but if you do, I really appreciate the overall video. And I hope 'Sparrow the Kitty' is happy she adopted you folks. LOL. She is a lucky cat! Thanks again... & I'm now looking fwd to seeing updates. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that I also just subscribed. 👍_

I can't remember watching a more wholesome, inspiring and educational video anywhere, anytime. Beautifully written and filmed, it was intriguing to see how you "merely" set up the right conditions. Then you let (i.e., no meddling) Nature "simply" do its thing, developing a hole-with-water into an incredibly complex and thriving ecosystem. The world can learn so much from this. Maybe KZhome could get that started by adding a "wholesomeness" factor into its algorithm. It would be good for our children, so many of whom are driven to anxiety and depression by social media and video. "But hey," they think… "It's good for business." Well Stefano, judging by the number of views of this vid (approaching 20 million!), and by the comments, and by how I personally feel after watching, this is not only "good for business"... It's better for people. Congratulations and thank you.

Very inspiring to watch! I applaud your efforts at giving wildlife homes and food. I put up a large tray feeder for the birds. Very soon, flocks of doves, cowbirds, sparrows, yellow and red finches, towhees, juncos started flocking to it! I added a nut bowl for the squirrels. Even a crow came to eat the nuts. The squirrels loved it! Then two hummingbird feeders (Walmart has the best ones). I use my own mix of 1/4 cup white sugar + 1 cup filtered water. The store mix with red color is deadly for them and gives blood clots, so be warned folks. Red and green hummers showed up so happy to have this drink. Now an oriole showed up too, striking black and gold plumage. I know his call. The wasps too, love a sugar drink! There is a small wasp nest on the house eaves. They pollinate my flowers, and go crazy with joy when I mist them, or their mud nest to cool it down midday. Lovely bugs who have never harmed me. Then I saw a fledgling hawk trying to prey on the birds. He sat on my fence, frustrated he missed! Imagine that this one little feeder is feeding a whole eco cycle. I added two birdbaths with fountains, and a small ground level tiny pond for local frogs so they can get wet in dry CA summers. I have a tiny frog with a huge croak living in my wood pile. What a joy to see all these animals and know I make them happy. The singing is loud and cheerful every day, with a flurry of birds and squirrels. Nature is wonderful. If I did not rent this place I would convert the useless lawn into a magical garden with waterfalls, trees, bird habitats, right here in the city. I plan to get a small house with a huge yard and I will make it a magical kingdom and a safe retreat for all birds and woodland creatures.

So Beautiful Just what the world needs. Not only are you building your own bit of Paradise, you are saving so much of the wildlife. While I was watching your video, I was watching a Blackbird come down and clean himself in my all natural natural fish pond 😁

There was a farmer in Louisiana that built a pond at the end of his property as well and one day he went to take a look at what he had built. He brought a bucket with him and as he got closer he heard a bunch of girls making noise. As he approached his pond the girls swam the other side and said old man we're skinny dipping and we're not getting out until you leave. His reply was priceless he said I'm out here to kick you out and I'm not here to look at you I'm just here to feed the alligators.

Amazing. Watching this video is like seeing life. Those part right in my side and I didn't pay enough attention to them. And this video gives a super high resolution to the birds I never had enough time to see. Great work.

Hurray! Jumping spiders are the puppies of the spider world with an extra bit in their eyes to detect color and movement. I raised a bunch (200?) of native ones and they were so much fun to watch and interact with before I freed them in safe areas, What a great video for all of the living creatures including the spirit of the man creating it.

This got me teary-eyed for some reason, if only every person on this planet makes an extra effort to care for it then it can create an impact big enough to sustain a healthy environment both for humans and wildlife. Good job man!

That was a beautiful film! I really appreciated the efforts taken to rejuvenate local flora, which is essential to attract local fauna, and hence continue the whole cycle.

You did a very good job creating a nice ecosystem for all those species. I have a small pond, and I am very excited because, last year, a frog came live there. Now I think another one came too. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience
