And Barca became better with the trio Messi , Neymar and Suarez ; don't understimate those last two players. They often gave Messi the ball on a plate. I dare to say that CR7 on his own had a bigger part in winning games than Messi on his own . The same you see now with PSG. Messi always played with star players around him ( Mbappe , again Neymar ) I don't say he is not a good player but CR7 was much better , completer , more an atlete ; ( statistics mean not a thing when you read my arguments ) I say 'was ' because CR7 is now 38 years old and at the end of his career.
