Absolutely. The other one I similarly admire is Prof. Robert Sapolsky for Biology. Anyone for Chemistry and Math? Not to the same caliber as these guys, but I had a wonderful math teacher in school. We had textbooks and there was a proof of the Pythagoras Theorem in it. He showed us three separate proofs of this theorem, showing us that the same problem can be tackled by many very different approaches, and the convergence of the results is one of the beauties of mathematics.

Is it possible to deflect bullet from its path as it is shown in the movies. Just curious to know may be it is a dumb question forgive me . Another question I had from long time is when an Aeroplane has engine failure it is on a free fall from 33000 ft. Can the air resistance over the plane be converted in to any other form of energy that would save the plane.Thank you

It's amazing to see a professor like Lewin who is so passionate about teaching. His enthusiasm is evident in every class, and you can see the student's engagement as a result. This type of dedication is rarely seen in college professors at my college. Unfortunately, most of them don't seem to care about their students or put any effort into preparing or delivering lectures. It's a shame that students have to suffer because of this apathy. I hope that Lewin's example will inspire more professors (teachers as well) to strive to reach his level of commitment to teaching.

The best lecture I have ever seen. I have recently been facing a lot of difficulties in physics and so my interest for it had gone really low and also because of that my self esteem had become quite low but today I just came across this seven years old lecture and all my love for physics just got a new spark and I am really thankful to this teacher.

eat yogurt every day but *never on Fridays* OR Watch all my 94 MIT course lectures. Start with 8.01, then 8.02, then 8.03. Do all the homework and take all my exams. *I guarantee you that you will then do very well on the Physics portion of any freshman college or JEE exam* You will find all information you need on this channel (notice the three playlists "Homework & Solutions"). 8.01 & 8.02 will each take about 200 hours, 8.03 about 250 hours.

The chalk dotted line technique is pretty neat though I enjoy the math and concepts more. The dotted technique of course adds to the visual as it is a good tool.

This explains why a good teacher and a good teaching method will make you love a subject that you used to hate it. It's my first time seeing a Physics lecture, hoping that it's not being finished too early ! Lovely!

If only I came across you during my high school, I wouldn't have left physics.... I follow physics passionately to this day even when I'm working for a bank. I love science, only reason I left science studies was because I don't know why I just wasn't able to grasp numericals. I believe I would have been a physicist if I had a teacher like you in early days ...

I have always loved physics and now, after watching this lecture, I really love physics! I am going to watch every video Walter has ever released on KZhome. I am a programmer so I will be modelling the things I learn in code. I can't wait to watch the next one, this was outstanding.
